Our Beliefs
We’re convinced that Jesus is interested in each and every part of our life.
We believe that this life matters, and that through our actions and attitudes, we bring glory to God – demonstrating the life of Jesus to the world around us.
Basically, we’re into Jesus and not into religion. We believe everyone should be invited into a growing relationship with Him.
Specific points of doctrine on our beliefs regarding Scripture, God, Humanity, Salvation, the Christian Life, and the Church are listed below.
Six Points of Doctrine
About Scripture
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that people were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture.
Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error. So our beliefs, practices, priorities, and our mission are anchored in clear biblical teachings.About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who came to earth to reveal God to people and to become the Saviour of the world.
About Humanity
We believe that people are created in the image of God and have inherent value. We believe we're created to have a connected friendship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are unable to regain a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ—shed on the cross—provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin and restoring the connected friendship with God—for which we were created. Therefore, salvation occurs when a person places their faith in the work of Jesus Christ, who died and rose again, as sufficient payment for their sin.
About the Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God—and daily yielding to the Spirit of God—every believer should grow to have their life look more like Jesus. This transformation is made clear through a Christian’s inner life and outward actions.
About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the body of Christ are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. We desire to be leaders in serving people. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the world.
